Making History Relevant

York University

York University has one of the largest history departments in Canada with a reputation for diversity in the range of courses on offer. The department's commitment to public history and outreach has given rise to some innovative ways of making history relevant to a much wider audience. It's location in Toronto makes it an ideal home for the Archives of Ontario and the Harriet Tubman Institute for Research on the Global Migrations of African Peoples.
