Using History, Not Just Studying It

Millsaps College Department of History

Millsaps students do interesting, exciting work through innovative learning programs. They gain real world experience through internships at archives and museums across the street and around the globe, preparing them to put their degrees to work after graduation. The students partner with local organizations to participate in communicating Mississippi history. Currently they are involved in creating two new museums dedicated to Mississippi history and the history of the ongoing Civil Rights struggle.
