Transatlantic History in Texas
University of Texas at Arlington
University of Texas at Arlington has developed several programs that have pushed students to think beyond the usual boundaries and emphasis of history. The department is home to the only Transatlantic History PhD program in the US which is complimented by an outstanding cartographic collection and a cartographic history emphasis. This provides students with a unique opportunity to study representations of the past. It also has a successful Public History MA program which prepares students for careers in the public sector.
